Hall of Fame members lost in 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the Illinois USSSA Hall of Fame members we lost in 2025. They are lost to us but not forgotten, and truly left an impact on the IL USSSA softball community.
Bruce Runkle Sr. May 19, 2025
Inducted into the IL Hall of Fame in 2023 in the Umpire category. Bruce was instrumental with the IL USSSA for many years as a sponsor, player and umpire in slo-pitch, and helped develop fastpitch in Illinois.
Ken Dohm June 8, 2025
“Dohmer” was a premiere player for Lilly Air Systems, Jokers and Joe Black's Softball Club. His offensive and defensive skills were outstanding, and his easy-going, team-first attitude set him apart. Inducted into the IL USSSA Hall of Fame in 2007, Ken was truly a gentleman on and off the field.
Helen Biddle September 4, 2025
Inducted into the IL USSSA Hall of Fame in 1997 in the Female Player category. Helen was a founding member of the Fox Valley Lassies and later played under Stroh's Lassies, participated in Co-Rec teams in Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas, attended many USSSA National Conventions, and sat on the IL USSSA Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
