Ken's Beverage – Joliet, IL

Ken's Beverage Inc. softball team has been involved in the Illinois and the National USSSA programs for 35 years. The KBI team has produced 36 members of the Illinois USSSA Hall of Fame — 33 of those 36 members are players, as well as Ken Reimer as a sponsor and Dave Catalani and Don Loid as managers.

Over the past 35 years KBI has been one of the most successful teams in the state of Illinois as well as achieving success at the national and world levels. KBI has won state titles at the B level in 2001 and 2008, the 40 Major+ level in 2003 and 2004, the 45 Major+ level in 2004, the Open level in 2007 and 2014, the C level in 2014 and 2015, and the D level in 2014. In 2012 KBI finished 2nd at the C National at Bebop's in Blaine, MN. KBI returned to Bebop's in 2013 and won the C National. KBI also won the 2014 D National in Sterling Heights, MI. 2015 saw KBI finish in 2nd place at the C National held in Indianapolis. In 2002 KBI won the 40 Major+ World Series. In 2004 KBI finished 2nd at the 45 Major+ World Series. In 2008 KBI finished 5th at the C World Series and finished 9th at the C World Series in 2012. The 2014 KBI team finished the season as the D World Series Champions. In 2016 KBI finished 7th at the C World Series. In addition to all the accomplishments listed above, KBI has won championships at countless National Invitational Tournaments across the country.

KBI also participated in the Joliet Park District USSSA Open league, arguably the best league in the state. During KBI's time in the Joliet Open League they won more than any other team, accumulating a record 27 league championships and a record 23 Joliet City Tournament Open Division titles.

Over the past 35 years the Ken's Beverage Inc. softball team has been extremely fortunate to have had great players which led to amazing team accomplishments, great memories, countless laughs, and lifelong friendships. It goes without saying that this induction does not happen without Ken Reimer's generosity and dedication to Illinois USSSA softball. From all former KBI players: thank you for everything, Ken.
